PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

Please email lucy(at)musichqmedia

CHEW THE FAT present TROUBLESTOCK at THE END, April 9th
26/03/2008
Chew the Fat! Have announced a “festival in a club” style fundraising event for one of the pioneers of the breakbeat scene.  Founding father of Chew the Fat! Paul ‘Trouble’ Arnold was diagnosed with leukaemia last year and in honour of the dance scene great all and sundry will be turning up to show off their subliminal skills.  It’s set to be like Woodstock, only instead of a psychedelic rock and folk festival, Troublestock will be taking place in the cool surroundings of London’s The End club and featuring all things dance!

The main room, AKA and the lounge area will represent different scenes as incorporated in Chew the Fat’s history, from past to present.  Just like the Ice-Cream counter at Pizza Hut one can pick and choose from sweet breakbeat goodness, a juicy dollop of house, or a mish-mash of every conceivable sound you’ve ever dreamed of.  Mmmm… nutritious!

In the main room there’ll be more than just beats a-breaking as Bristolian duo and all-round badboys the Stanton Warriors take on breakbeat big-hitters the Plump DJs.  Both are huge on the breakbeat circuit, the Stanton Warriors garnering global recognition with international tours and the Plump DJs notoriety with ever-mounting commercial success - they’re played on the radio and everything!  Plus it’s going to be the first time either posse have gone head to head – a Chew the Fat! exclusive!  It’s like, totally double mental and stuff!

Also, Kutting his proverbial mustard in the main room, will be DJ/producer Krafty Kuts taking on the big-band of breakbeat the Freestylers crew.  Other highlights will include Atomic Hooligan taking on Soul of Man, Tayo, Evil Nine, Tom Real and Elite Force.  Wowzers!

Meanwhile AKA will be bringing funky-pumping-house to the masses in the shape of Italo-disco luminary Serge Santiago and king of the castle (house) Rob da Bank (house).  AND the ruddy Cuban Brothers will be at The End – in London - with an exclusive live set!  We’re talking festival-filling royalty of royally epic proportions; stripping and spinning and generally going mental!

Finally, over in the Lounge, master of the remix Kissy Sell Out will be puckering up to bring a barrage of all-round electro par’ excellence while Herve’s alter-ego the Count of Monte Cristal will be on hand to spin, mix and generally bus’ up the place.  Funky-beatsmith A-Skillz will be in a three-way stand-off with both the Dub Pistols and Drum Monkeys in a scene akin to Clint Eastwood, that Mexican dude and Lee Van Cleef in the Good the Bad and the Ugly.  There’s nothing ugly about Chew the Fat! though; it’s gonna be sexier than Kate Moss in a pink TuTu, sucking on a Nestle Fab and rolling in a pool of filth!

All proceeds from the night will go towards Paul’s road to recovery.  This alone should be reason to attend Troublestock… the fact that Chew the Fat! have drafted in such a face-and-mind fuck of fantastic talent is merely a Brucey bonus.  “Now, didn’t they do well”!
