 Somebody asked Planet Notion what we’d like to be if we could be anything in the world. It took Planet Notion a mere mili-second (sic) to come up with an answer… Catfish don’t have to worry about writing previews for dodgy House nights, or where that greasy white stain on their black jeans came from. Which is why we’re so excited that Lounge on the Farm (LOTF) has announced a fancy-dress theme for this year’s festival. Hoorah!
LOTF, taking place at Merton Farm, Canterbury, from 11th – 13th July, is calling for all attendees to dress-up based around the notion of ‘Farm-Hands’. This isn’t limited to mucky slacks, slicked mullets, and mothers who are your brothers; Oh no, LOTF is willing to accept country gent attire, milk-maids, two-man cow costumes – anything really!
Furthermore, the best costume will win the coveted ‘Best in Show’, given out by a really eccentric country dude. Um, you do get Catfish on farms don't you? Of the bands on offer, Mystery Jets, Holy Fuck, Dub Pistols Sound System, Lightspeed Champion, Los Campesinos, Polar Bear, Johnny Foreigner, Toddla T, Black Kids, Billy (friggin’) Childish, and The New York (fuckin’) Dolls will all be taking to the stage… Planet Notion has tickets to give away too: CLICK HERE TO ENTER!
